Jacob Godly of The Greek Pantheon and Sylvie Freyasdaughter of The Norse Pantheon are a pair of young demigods who’ve grown quite smitten with one another. During a freak training accident, they find themselves fallen into Nifelheim with no way back to Asgard.
After meeting an old king and learning a little of his mission, they decide to help him light The Fernal Kiln. This kiln can only be lit by lighting four lesser kilns of emotion around the outskirts of the kingdom, and lighting it is the only way to stop The Frost of Apathy from keeping the land locked in eternal winter.
Jacob and Sylvie travel the kingdom together as they struggle to light the kilns, meeting water spirits and fairies and more while solving puzzles and learning more about each other along the way. They battle a frost giant named Syccamir and struggle to learn the history of the land through what little clues its former inhabitants left behind, but the pair find little success in the foreboding lands.
